How to care for a Hoya Tricolor

Hoya Carnosa Tricolor, also known as Crimson Princess, is a draping succulent vine that produces star-shaped waxy flowers. This Hoya has pink stems that branch out into colorful leaves and simple to care for as long as you keep it in a bright spot and are sparse with watering. These are perfect plants for plant parents who have trouble keeping up with watering.

Sun

Bright indirect light.

Water

Water only when the soil is dry.

Pro-Tip

The brighter the indirect light, the more pink variegation these plants may produce. Just remember to keep them away from direct sunlight! Hoya Carnosa Tricolor won’t flower unless it receives very bright indirect sunlight. A south-facing window would be ideal, although eastern and western exposures may also work if they are bright enough. This plant will even tolerate a little direct sunlight.

Toxicity

Hoya Tricolor is non-toxic to animals.
