Ponytail Palm
The Ponytail Palm, or Beaucarnea Recurvata, is a tropical plant native to Mexico. Oddly enough, a Ponytail Palm Tree is neither a palm nor a tree. It is a member of the Agave family and is a Succulent. Other common names for this plant include the Bottle Palm Tree or the Elephant Foot Tree. It's a perfect plant for new plant parents and world travelers, as it's low maintenance.
