Dieffenbachia is one of the easiest indoor houseplants to grow and one of the most common indoor plants. It is often called "Dumb Cane" due to its toxic sap that irritates when ingested. This plant is a lush and showy plant with ovate leaves in various green, cream, and white colors. Dieffenbachias are from the tropics of Mexico, South America, and the West Indies. Please note, this plant is not ideal for a space with small children or curious pets.
