This December, we're planting the seeds for something special in Indianapolis—and you're invited to watch it grow.
On Friday, December 19th, The Botanical Bar will host our first-ever Book & Plant Holiday Exchange, an evening designed to bring together plant lovers, bookworms, and anyone looking for a meaningful way to celebrate the season.
Why We're Starting This Tradition
In a world of rushed shopping trips and generic gift exchanges, we wanted to create something different. Something that reflects what The Botanical Bar has always been about: community, growth, and the simple joy of sharing what we love.
Books and plants have more in common than you might think. Both require patience and care. Both can transform a house into a home. And both are meant to be shared—whether it's a cutting from your favorite pothos or that novel you couldn't put down.
What to Expect on December 19th
From 5:30 to 7:30 PM, our space will transform into a holiday haven where you can:
- Swap treasures - Bring a gently used or new book and/or plant to exchange for something new to love
- Sip and socialize - The Avenue Coffeehouse will be serving their signature matcha lattes and specialty coffee drinks
- Toast the season - TÖST will provide festive non-alcoholic sparkling beverages
- Create keepsakes - Design your own botanical bookmark at our DIY craft station
